Midweek Manicure // Line Work

It may¬† not be the middle of the week anymore, but we’ll just go with it.

Lots of Lines Mani

Thiis week’s mani is a very involved one, but was surprisingly very forgiving. It did take some time and patience, and you can probably see that it’s not perfect, but it was fun to do.

White Orange and Black nails

I used:

  • Base Coat
  • Several So Easy Strip Rite polishes in black, white and what turned out to be orange (it didn’t loo so orange in the bottle!)
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Royal Blush (for the nails without any design)
  • Top Coat

So, to create the look, I used a black striper polish to paint on an outline of the design I wanted, which is really just a series of triangles. After painting out the design in black, I went in with the orange and filled in between the lines, then did the same thing with the white. After all of that was dry, I went back with the black polish and cleaned up the lines. This great tutorial on youtube gave me the inspiration (and courage) to try the technique.

Midweek Manicure // Halfsies

I found a bunch of super bright neon polishes the other day and wanted to try some out! Here’s the first go-around.

Half and Half Neon Manicure

After a base coat I painted half of my nail with China Glaze White on White so that the neon would POP! After it dried I painted two coats of Funky Fingers polish in the color Pop Art. Then, I painted a line of gold Stripe Rite across the line between the pink part of my nail and the unpainted part. Voila!
