Midweek Manicure // Paint Splattered Nails

I’m really excited to share this week’s manicure with you guys! Paint splatter!

Paint Splatter Mani

This one was a little more involved, and called for a lot of clean up, but it was totally worth it, I love the effect. To re-create it all you need is your choice of polish colors (I used two different blues on top of a neutral base), a drinking straw, nail polish remover and a nail brush to remove the spattered polish that gets on your fingers and not your nail.

Paint your base color, then dip your straw in the polish and blow through the opposite end to splatter the polish onto your nail. Then just clean up the edges with your polish remover and brush, and voila!

What do you think? Is this something you would try? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Happy Painting!

Midweek Manicure // Giraffe Print

giraffe print mani

Well, I’m still having computer related issues. Still waiting to get my laptop back from being repaired, so I had to dig deep back into the nail art vault and today I present you with a giraffe print mani from a few years ago – which accounts for the photo quality.

For this I used a base color of Essie Sand Tropez and then painted on the rectangular spots using Sephora by OPI polish in the color Never Enough Shoes. Hope you like it! I thought it was fun to do an animal print that you don’t see very often. I might try it again soon!

Happy Wednesday!
