Floral Congratulations Card

Congratulations card

I made this card some time ago, and totally forgot to share it here! And I haven’t been especially creative in the past few weeks, so here we are. Hopefully I can get back to my craft room soon! I miss it.

For this card, I stamped several floral clusters in each corner of the panel, using the Painted Flowers stamp set from Altenew. I used masks to arrange the clusters so that my flowers could overlap, and used several colors of ink as well. So many Altenew stamp sets make it so easy to build images with multiple layers in multiple colors.

I then die-cut the Congratulations sentiment from several pieces of white card stock and glued each layer together to give the word some dimension. I adhered that to the panel with multi medium matte adhesive (this is a good option for delicate die cuts because the glue dries matte, so you don’t have to be too worried if it ends up somewhere it doesn’t belong).

I felt like the card could use a little more oomph, so I added some black dots with a Pico Embellisher in Tuxedo Black and then some soft pink sequins as well. I like how she turned out.

Have a wonderful week!

Baby Boy Congrats Card

Are you doing the November Daily Marker 30 Day challenge? I’ve been trying my hardest to keep up! My goal is to color and post something to my Instagram feed every day this month which will be a feat. I wasn’t able to do something every single day for the previous challenges, but I have high hopes for this one! In keeping up with the challenge, I almost forgot to post this congratulations card I made a few weeks ago!

Baby boy cardTO start off this card, I stamped the rattle image fromĀ  the Tim Holtz Baby Blueprint set onto a large tag die. I also heat embossed the edges of the tag using Versamark ink and some liquid platinum embossing powder.

Baby boy cardI also threaded some twine through the hole in the tag and tied little knots at the end to give the string a bit more interest. Then I set the finished tag aside and got to work on the card base.
Baby boy cardTo make a quick and easy background that was still visually interesting, I found several rolls of washi tape that went well together and just stuck strips of each tape down onto the card. I made sure all of the colors and patterns would work well for a baby boy card. This is a really quick and simple way to add pop to an otherwise simple card and I really love washi tape, I don’t know why I don’t use it more often! Baby boy cardI stamped the congrats! sentiment from the Altenew Label Love stamp set, added some fun foam to the back of the sentiment strip and the tag, and mounted both onto the card base.Baby boy cardNow we wait for the little one to arrive!
