Another birthday card! This one was created for one of my girlfriends so I wanted it to be cute and feminine. Made with fun washi tapes and the birthday tags stamp set and tag, you’re it and stitched rectangles dies from Lawn Fawn, was inspired by this card that I saw on one of my favorite card making blogs, A Blog Called Wanda.
After cutting out the tag die, I stamped out the cupcake, candle and happy birthday sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink. I colored the cupcake with copic markers, added some pink twine, and set it aside. I took the stitched rectangle panel and added the three strips of washi tape, and mounted the tag on top of the panel using foam tape to give it a bit of dimension. I centered the panel onto a slightly larger cut piece of pink paper, then mounted the whole thing onto a card base. I probably could have left it as is, but decided to add a few sequins here and there to add a bit of embellishment. I adhered those with ranger multi medium matte glue. I love how cute the card came out, and putting it all together was quick and easy. And it’s a fun use for washi tape (of which I now have many rolls)!
