Midweek Manicure // Neon Gradient + Leopard

Happy Wednesday! This week’s midweek manicure is one I did quite a while ago, but forgot to post! It’s another one inspired by @ninanailedit on instagram. I saw it and wanted to try it. It’s so different from designs I usually do, but once I’d finished it I was in love.

Neon Gradient NailsI used:

  • Base coat (any old base coat will do)
  • Nina Ultra Pro Punki Purple
  • China Glaze Pelican Gray
  • Essie Butler Please
  • Cosmetic sponge
  • Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Pen in Black
  • Top Coat (I like Seche Vite best)

Gradient Nails with Leopard Print

After a base coat, I stamped on a sponge gradient onto each nail. I made sure the gradient ran perpendicular to my nail bed, which isn’t typical for a gradient (and I think that’s part of why I ended up liking this mani so much). To create the sponge gradient, I painted a stripe of Punki Purple, Recycled and Butler Please onto the sponge. I didn’t get a picture of it, but this photo shows how that works:

After I’d finished all the sponging, I went back and drew on some leopard spots with my I Heart Nail Art pen. A thick top coat with Seche Vite made it all come together.

In love! I hope you like it, too.
