It’s hard to believe we are coming up on the last unofficial week of Summer. The months have flown by, and I only just recently went to the beach for the first time all season (it was well worth the wait). So, I suppose this mani marks the last of my summer-themed designs. I can’t say that I mind too much, though, because Fall is my favorite season. I love seeing the trees explode with color and the cooler weather suits me just fine.
- China Glaze Strong Adhesion base coat
- Essie Turquoise and Caicos
- Essie Marshmallow
- Water decals and sea shell nail studs from Daily Charme
- Various nail art studs and pearls from Born Pretty Store
- Seche Vite Top Coat
This mani called for a lot of accessories, and I just had fun and got creative with placement. After painting my ring and thumb with Turquoise and Caicos and the rest of my nails with Marshmallow, I proceeded to cut out various motifs from the decals and place them on the nails I’d painted white. I saved the turquoise nails for a multitude of studs and pearls, which I affixed using the Seche Vite top coat. If you find that your nail studs don’t stay in place with a topcoat, try using a bit of nail glue.
Now it’s time to go and enjoy the last fleeting days of summer (I think another beach trip is in order).
