Last week was tuxedos, this morning, D and I are going to a consultation with a florist. I’m excited and kind of nervous at the same time. Excited because it’s wedding-related stuff and that’s always fun, but nervous because I’m not sure what to expect in terms of how much all this might cost.
I’ve decided that I’ll really only want a florist to handle bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids and some nice arrangements for the altar at the church. Otherwise, I plan to handle a lot of the other stuff – namely boutonnieres and center pieces – myself. My idea is just to buy some flowers wholesale and DIY those things. So, hopefully we’ll be saving some money there.
In preparation for the appointment this morning, I’ve been pouring over Pinterest for flower arrangement ideas – colors, types of flowers and design. Here are some of the images I’ll be bringing with me to show the florist:
As you can see, I already have a pretty good idea when it comes to color scheme, and I would really like to include some English Roses. I also like a free-form, asymmetric look. I like the trend of adding succulents to bouquets, but I’m not sure it’s really Fall Wedding appropriate. What do you think? I’d love to hear your opinions! :)
