My friend Leah is getting married in two weeks (!!!) and she has asked me to paint her nails for the special occasion. I painted her nails a few weeks ago, and this time we will be creating an ombre effect. In preparation for the event I tried out two different ways of creating an ombre effect on your nails:
For this style, I mixed China Glaze Foie Gras with varying amounts of China Glaze White on White so that the color got lighter and lighter as I painted each finger.
For this I first painted a base of China Glaze White on White. Once that dried I painted a strip of Zoya Jinx at the nail bed, then Orly Luxe in the middle and a stripe of the White on White again at the tip of the nail, then I blended them with a cosmetic sponge until I achieved the desired effect.
A while back I posted my first attempt at Ombre, which I think I had more success with:
Loving Ombre right now! Can’t wait to share with you how Leah’s nails turn out!
Happy Wednesday!
